| In this trip you will discover ancient flavours, and you will find genuine tastes in the land where tradition is still alive in the cooking culture.
Day 1:
Arrival and accommodation in Masseria (ancient farmhouse). Welcome cocktail with tasting of local wine and typical salt and pepper biscuits, the so-called "taralli". Dinner and overnight.
Day 2:
Breakfast, visit of Castellana Grottoes, the biggest and more magnificent Carsic grottoes of Italy. Lunch in typical Puglia restaurant, where you will have a hands-on ice cream lesson. You will learn to make a delicious almond ice cream. In the afternoon you will visit Alberobello, the enchanting capital of TRULLI, declared Unesco world heritage for its uniqueness. Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight.
Day 3:
Breakfast, visit of Polignano a Mare, a town built on a rock that goes sharply into the sea. Seafood lunch in a first-class restaurant, located in a cave directly over the sea.
In the afternoon visit of Bari. You will walk through the narrow medieval streets of the Apulian capital. The story of Bari is strongly tied to "San Nicola" or Santa Claus, whose tomb is visited by thousands of catholic and orthodox pilgrims each year.
Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight.
Day 4:
Breakfast. Visit of Ostuni, "the white town". With its narrow streets where you will be touched by its whiteness shining amidst a park of century-old olive trees, and by the enchanting Cathedral.
Tasting of dairy products at a cheese factory. Lunch in hotel.
Visit of an underground oil mill in the countryside, surrounded by the century old olive groves, now Unesco world heritage, followed by a tasting of extra virgin olive oil and other typical products. (Puglia is renowned for its "oil culture", and for the excellent quality of its product). Farewell dinner in typical restaurant, where you will taste the delicious Puglia food.
