Relais La Fontanina is a splendid countryside hotel that combines the typical architecture of the masserie (Manor farms) with the comfort of a modern hotel. The “Lamia Suite” is an ancient rural mansion, dating back to the end of 1800, that overlooks the swimming pool and has a beautiful shower in ancient stone and a little private wellness centre. Relais La Fontanina hosts a renowned gourmet restaurant that is famous over Apulian borders. The Relais Histò is located near the Mar Piccolo (literally, “Small Sea”), immersed in a hill landscape of century old olive trees. This enchanting Medieval dwelling, discreet in the whiteness of its stone, was already populated in Roman and late Hellenistic age. At the Relais Histò the antique noble court and the imposing Basilica of the I century dedicated to the Saints Peter and Andrew are perfectly fit in the environment of understated luxury and the comforts of an excellent hotel. Histò has 46 bright and wide rooms: 9 are in the historic part of the complex and 37 are in the modern cloister of the “Antica Sorgente”. Tranquillity, privacy, attention to details and the “Culti” design and furniture are the symbols of Histò hospitality. This masseria dating back to 1710 has been completely restored and turned into a beauty farm for physical and spiritual wellness, yet keeping its ancient charm. The masseria, surrounded by century-old olive trees, with a rural and at the same time elegant style, welcomes travellers who want to rediscover the ancient genuine flavours. It has 11 rooms divided into Soprane rooms (on the first floor), Suites and Trullos. The masseria offers a bar, a restaurant in the ancient oil mill, a restaurant on the terraces, a wide natural park with paths of Magna Grecia and relax areas with century-old olive trees and Mediterranean maquis, a chapel with frescoes. The Wellness Centre, with an outdoor area with Kneipp path and an indoor area in trullos, proposes treatments with olive oil, the most effective natural antioxidant.
